The art season in Laguna Beach flourishes year round with First Thursdays Art Walk. This educational monthly art event, held on the first Thursday of every month from 6 – 9pm, celebrates the diverse cultural art scene of Laguna Beach and is free to the public. Member galleries and sponsors invite you to visit during art walk and enjoy their exhibitions, entertainment and special events.
Free trolley service for art walk starts at 6:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm. Trolleys begin at the Laguna Art Museum (north) and Bluebird Canyon Road (south). The trolley route runs as far north as Jasmine Street, up Laguna Canyon Road as far as Canyon Acres, and south to Diamond Street. Map
Metered parking is available along Coast Hwy. and a few blocks inland on either side of the street and is free after 7:00 pm. If you prefer, you may park in the residential area located 2-3 blocks inland from Coast Hwy.
2019 Professional Gallery/Student Mentor Program
The Professional Mentoring Program is a collaboration between First Thursdays Art Walk and Laguna College of Art + Design, teaming member galleries with graduating senior students.
Graduating seniors are assigned to galleries throughout the city to learn more about the business side of art. The program culminates with the December Art Walk where the gallery shows the student art in their gallery. All proceeds from the sale go directly to the student and the First Thursdays Art Walk/LCAD Scholarship fund.
Join us this Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 6pm-9pm at the galleries listed below. Students will be on site and all works will be available for purchase. 50% of the proceeds go to the student and the other 50% goes to the LCAD Scholarship Fund. Get the map of all participating galleries here.

The 18th Annual Professional Gallery/Student Mentoring Program, a collaboration between Laguna Beach First Thursdays Art Walk (FTAW) and Laguna College of Art + Design (LCAD) pairs LCAD senior students in the Fine Arts Professional Studies class with FTAW’s member galleries and is designed to demonstrate the intricacies involved in the business of operating a gallery.
Students are on-site and all works of art are for purchase, with proceeds from art sales going to the student artists and the LCAD Scholarship Fund.

For this exhibition, Las Laguna Gallery asked artists to art they considered “stunning”. The word stunning is best described as “strikingly impressive, especially in beauty and excellence. We received hundreds of submissions that fit the bill and the selection process was grueling, but we found what we could best describe as amazing, captivating, phenomenal, and extraordinary.

Quickly becoming one of the premier contemporary and fine art galleries in Laguna Beach, California; Las Laguna Gallery is dedicated to the exploration and engagement of contemporary and fine art visual culture – regionally, nationally and internationally; through unique collaborations between artists, students and the community.
Las Laguna Gallery is located on Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Village. Laguna Village is an artist alcove situated on the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Laguna College of Art + Design’ s (LCAD) 2019 Annual Juried Student Exhibition features original works of art from some of LCAD’s many talented graduate, undergraduate, and post-baccalaureate students. This annual exhibition comprises a wide range of mediums, expressions and techniques that are representative of LCAD’s MFA programs in Drawing, Game Design, and Painting; its BFA programs in Animation, Drawing & Painting, Game Art, Graphic Design + Digital Media, and Illustration; and its Post-Baccalaureate Drawing & Painting certificate program.
