Quorum Gallery

Join us at Quorum Art Gallery on May 2nd from 6 pm – 9 pm for Art Walk and meet our featured artist of the month, Emilee Reed.

EMILEE REED – “Watercolors & More”

Emilee has been fascinated by color and light from a very early age; it must be due to the beautiful sunsets in Corona Del Mar where she lived as a child.
Emilee is drawn to the excitement, surprise, and wonder of watercolor. She enjoys the discipline of planning each new art piece. What order of steps will she need to take? What layers of color will she use? How will she protect the white of the paper so she won’t lose the “punch” she wants to convey…that special nuance that inspired her in the first place? Painting allows her to capture for forever, a moment, a glimpse, of something striking and beautiful, but also so very fleeting.
Retired after over 30 years with the Walt Disney Co., Emilee lives and paints in Anaheim, California. She is a Board Member and a Juried Exhibitor at Laguna Art-A-Fair in Laguna Beach, a member of the Anaheim Arts Council, Watercolor West, Spark OC, and Orange County Fine Arts Association. Emilee’s artwork has been published in the “Art Lover’s Cookbook” and “International Contemporary Masters IV,” and she has just recently received The Award of Excellence at the Costa Mesa ARTventures Event.
Emilee has numerous paintings in private collections, and her work can be viewed at the Quorum Gallery and The Watercolor Gallery in The Art Center on Coast Highway, both located in Laguna Beach, California. Emilee is a Juror, an Art Demonstrator and conducts Watercolor Workshops and Private Lessons in her Anaheim studio.
Emilee also specializes in Custom Art Pieces which she calls “Your Favorite Things.” She combines all of your “Favorite Things” to create a one-of-a-kind, personalized painting just for you, your boss, your in-laws – – or for that special someone in your life.
